It is common to see cyclists with expensive equipment, but with an inefficient posture. You can achieve all those advantages of your equipment and great hours of training with a proper posture pain free.

What are the reasons why you need a bike fit?

  • Pain in any joint or any part of the body.

  • Low performance.

  • Discomfort.

  • Aerodynamics.

  • Numbness in hands, feet, or other parts of the body.

What does SPEng offer for you?

We offer the service for bicycle posture corrections to eliminate the risk of injury and boost your performance on the bicycle. Given that each person is different and that cycling goals are also personal, we can offer a bikefit according to your needs and goals. We can work from looking for performance, aerodynamics, comfort and sustainability on the bike. For that, we conducted an interview and examined the interaction that exists between the cyclist and his bicycle, in order to carry out the evaluation and achieve the necessary changes.

What is the cost and duration of the bike fit session?

A cost of $3,500 MXN is handled for road cycling and/or mtb, where the session takes about 2 to 3 hours. For time trial cycling the cost is $4,500 MXN and it takes between 3 to 4 hours.

What does a bike fit consist of?

For us at SPEng, the main thing is to get to know you first, this helps us to find the need for what you are looking for in a bikefit, since the cyclist should not adapt to the bike, the bike must adapt to the cyclist. For that, within our bikefit sessions we will review the following:

  • Interview to know your need on the bike.

  • Review of the placement of the cleats in the shoes.

  • Review of muscle tension and mobility.

  • Pre evaluation of the geometry of the bicycle.

  • Cyclist motion capture.

  • Gear adjustment on the bike.

  • Feedback on the different iterations of adjustments.

  • Report of the evaluation and the changes made.

*If it is for a session with a time trial bike, it also includes the following:

  • 3D scan

  • Scanning and measurement of the frontal area

  • Specific adjustments according to the time trial that will take place.

  • Computational review of airflow in the cyclist by means of Computational Fluid Dynamics.
